James J. Aquilina


Mr. Aquilina has experience in a wide variety of intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, copyright and trademark prosecution, trade dress and unfair competition, licensing of IP assets, patent clearance and patentability opinions, and IP litigation.

Mr. Aquilina represents utility and design patent clients in a wide variety of technologies, both in the U.S. and abroad, through our firm’s network of foreign associates. Areas of technology in which Mr. Aquilina has experience include: articulating monitor arms and supports, computer hardware, construction equipment and materials, consumer electronics, cryogenics, financial transaction systems, furniture, games and puzzles, internet-based business methods, Lithium-ion battery technology, medical devices, optics (including HMD and night vision systems), refuse collection systems, sporting goods, and textile manufacturing.

Mr. Aquilina also has several years of general litigation experience, both in private practice and having served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Richard Caputo, United States District Judge in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
